Before coming to live and learn at Ngatha, Tabitha lived under the care of her aging grandmother. Tabitha’s mother died of HIV/AIDS. Poverty was ravaging in their homestead and they could not feed themselves. Free education has no impact unless hunger is attended to so Tabitha dreamed of attending a private school. Her wish was fulfilled. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
