Both of Rachael’s parents died of HIV/AIDS. She has very low self-esteem due to stigmatization. Before coming to live and learn at Ngatha, Rachael was cared for by an unemployed uncle who lives on handouts for survival. Talk of death agitates Rachael so much that she requires counseling. She wants to become a doctor to save lives. Her little sister is Rose Waruguru.
