Lucy was born to a single, jobless, & landless mother. Her mother died of HIV/AIDS. Before coming to live at Ngatha, she lived with her aunt, who also takes care of an old, blind grandma. They stayed in makeshift structures in town and struggled to meet their basic necessities for survival. Lucy favorite class is math and wants to be a doctor so she can help treat the poor free of charge.
